Soldan Moot Court 2025 – Stopover in Dortmund at SPIEKER & JAEGER

02.10.2025

On their way to Hannover, the Soldan Moot Court made a stop this year at SPIEKER & JAEGER. We were delighted to welcome the teams of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and Ruhr University Bochum to our offices. In intensive pleadings, the students showcased their skills and impressed with energy, teamwork, and legal precision.

The Soldan Moot Court on Legal Practice has long been one of the most exciting student competitions in legal training. On the road to the final rounds in Hannover, two strong teams came to our firm this year: Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and Ruhr University Bochum with their Moot Court team.

In our offices, the teams seized the opportunity to test their arguments in simulated pleadings and to challenge each other. The intensity and professionalism with which the students defended their briefs and responded to questions was impressive. The switch between claimant and defendant roles, the engagement with complex procedural issues, and the creative interpretation of the case file turned the session into a true highlight – for both the participants and us as hosts.

For the students, the Soldan Moot is far more than a competition: it is about teamwork, strategic thinking, precise argumentation, and the ability to remain composed under pressure. The teams demonstrated these skills impressively during their stop in Dortmund.

We are delighted to have been able to support their preparation in this way and are convinced that the road to Hannover runs through valuable experiences like this. We wish all participants continued success – and above all, enjoyment – on the final stages of their “Road to the Soldan Moot.”
