Companies will in future be required to prove that raw materials such as coffee, cocoa, palm oil, soya, beef, timber or rubber have not been produced on land cleared after 2020. The proof is to be provided either through certificates or by uploading geodata and satellite images into the new IT system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another postponement would give companies more time to adapt, but at the same time would prolong uncertainty. Many businesses have already invested in their EUDR readiness, while others point to practical difficulties, especially for smaller producers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Commission is considering a further postponement of the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
